KYW Leaders
The KYW would not be possible without a certain group of people; the leaders. Our leader group consists of over 100 leaders between the ages of 16-30, spanning from regions such as Dundalk, Tallaght, Cork, Newry, Newbridge and Annaclone. These leaders are trained in areas such as Child Protection, Advanced First Aid, safeTALK Suicide Awareness, and lifeguard courses, which are completed throughout the year in preparation for the KYW. Although the KYW is only four weeks long, our leader team are constantly active during the year completing workshops, attending meetings, and organising fundraisers.

What it takes to be a KYW Leader
The individuals that make up the KYW leader group were each chosen to be leaders due to their possession of key skills and traits needed to allow the KYW to run smoothly. Our leaders have excellent experience working in a team, are responsible, and have outstanding organisational skills. Many of these leaders participated in the KYW as campers and were selected to be leaders by the Senior Leader and Assistant Senior Leaders.
KYW Committee
The purpose of the KYW Committee is to organise and coordinate the KYW. It is ultimately responsible for delivering a quality programme over not only the four weeks of the KYW but also the year. The Committee oversees all aspects of the KYW, meeting regularly to discuss the progress of the various teams represented by Committee members. The chair of the Committee is the Senior Leader, followed by the Assistant Senior Leaders who take up various roles. Each of the regions that we have campers from are represented by both the Head of Region and Assistant Head of Region.
